How do I find health insurance for myself as an individual?

I am currently a sophomore in college, and I really hate student insurance, as it covers and pays for almost nothing, and doesn't include dental. Where do I go if i need to get a different provider?

i missed a car insurance payment last month but wasnt aware as i dont really check my bank as i assumed the money was in.. i got pulled up by the police the other night saying i didnt have insurance to which i replied yes i do the company is called ... they tried to ring them but as it was 2am they were closed... they let me go and have given me 7 days to report to the police station with my insurance documents. i rang up my insurance company asking for a certificate of my insurance as i lost mine to find out my policy had been cancelled (which i wasnt aware of).. so naturally now i am scared of what will happen. if i insure my car again and take down my new certificate to proove i have insurance and explain what has happened, how bad with the outcome be? HELP

I am going to be getting my license soon, and I would like a car that has a nice look to it, but won't break my bank on insurance. I have a job, and I am a high school student. (As stated in the question) I am considering purchasing a 1997 Chevrolet Camaro for what I think is a fair price. I am wondering what an average monthly insurance cost would be from anyone educated in this area, since all of the insurance companies require you to submit all of your information or meet with them for a quote. I have a 3.983 cumulative GPA right now, and I am very cautious (Not saying accidents can't happen, but figure in a safe driver discount). Thank you in advance for any advice.

Affordable car insurance for HORRIBLE driving records?

I am looking for affordable car insurance for a poor driving record. I have never gotten a DUI or anything like that but I have been caught driving without insurance a couple times. I also have had speeding tickets and my license suspended before. Now that I am older, I obviously see the consequences. I am currently insured by Gieco but it is over $450 a month! I am willing to pay up to $200 since I know my driving record is not pretty. Does ANYONE have any suggestions and WHY?

My insurnce got terminated due to ONE missed payment, I tried talking to my previous insurers but to no avail, I have a claim still to be resolved, hence any new quote is coming bak with ridiulous premiums. My car has recently been declared an insurance write off, basically a young guy (17) pulled out of a side road T-Bone ing me, causing me to be pushed into a tree, all the under body of my car was twisted and it would cost more to repair than the car is worth. The problem is my car isn't worth anything ( Peugeot 206). Someone is going to phone me tomorrow to discuss a settlement figure, I'd like 2k, (I paid 4k) 2.5 years ago for it. How much am I likely to get as an insurance write off, bearing in mind the other driver had admitted full liability and blame. It was a 2005 Peugeot 206 with 70k miles, one previous owner with a recent mot ( 2 weeks ago) also I've just paid for 12 months tax ( last month) can I reclaim this somehow? Thank You As for the other driver. I spoke to the police office who attended the scene and he went to his house yesterday to interview him, apparently he can do him for dangerous driving and give him points, as he was 17 I bet he will get caned on his insurance renewal, which is some comfort I guess :)
